I just love this grain silo home -- it's a fantastic example of adaptive reuse. In 2007, Gruene Homestead Inn purchased the 1940s grain silo and remodeled the interior and exterior. The result is authentic and incredible. Can you imagine chilling on that front porch, enjoying a little Texas summer? The Silo includes one bedroom and one bathroom in a loft-type setup for the rental price of $175/$210 a night.
This Silo House isn't as lavish as Earl's Montesilo Home, but I bet it's a treat to stay in. Check out The Silo if you're ever going to New Braunfels, Texas.

For a night in New Braunfels that is not a bad price. A hotel stay for a weekend will cost you about that. Plus this is in a great location. You could walk to Gruene Hall if you wanted to or go to Tavern on the Gruene to hear some live music as well. I am from New Braunfels and this is just a sample of the great finds you will find there.
