Superstars highlight 2nd Annual CCA Texas Concert for Conservation
Dwight Yoakam, Robert Earl Keen headline May 18 event
HOUSTON (March 7, 2013) — Tickets are on sale now for the second annual Concert for Conservation scheduled for Saturday, May 18, at Sam Houston Race Park. This
year, Coastal Conservation Association Texas (CCA Texas) has partnered
with Sam Houston Race Park to put together a superstar lineup that will
offer fans a wide variety of country music from featured artists Dwight Yoakam, Robert Earl Keen, Hayes Carll and Ray Willie Hubbard.
“We’re proud to be partnering with Sam Houston Race Park this year
to put on the show and very excited about the performers who are
scheduled to appear. We have something for every country music fan at
this concert,” said Robby Byers, executive director of CCA Texas. “At
the same time, we have so many exciting conservation projects and
habitat initiatives happening within CCA Texas – it’s a great event to
welcome a whole new group of prospective conservationists into the fold
and introduce them to CCA.”
Early-bird tickets are available now until March 17th online for $18 from CCA Texas (http://www.ccatexas.org/) and from the Sam Houston Race Park website, http://www.shrp.com/. From March 17th to May 17th,
tickets will be available online for $25, while tickets at the door
will cost $35. All tickets come with a membership in CCA Texas. VIP
tickets, which offer a special section in front of the stage, parking
pass, and access to private beverage stands and restrooms, are available
for $150 each.
The Concert for Conservation will take place on the infield of the
race track and Sam Houston Race Park will offer a variety of food and
beverage concessions so that music fans can fully enjoy the experience.
The concert will be a general admission, standing-room only, open-air
event open to all ages, rain or shine. Lawn chairs and blankets are
allowed for the Concert for Conservation, and be sure to visit http://www.shrp.com/ for a complete list of items allowed at the venue.
“This event is a great opportunity for us to see a lot of our old
friends and introduce many others to the Coastal Conservation
Association," said Byers. “We look forward to seeing everyone out at the
Sam Houston Race Park on May 18 – it’s a great venue to hang out with
friends and spend an evening enjoying some good music for a great
cause.” |
