This is a Black Swallowtail Butterfly that likes fennel, dill, & parsley as its host plant. Its caterpillar can be mistake for a Monarch caterpillar real easy as their color pater are very close. I have special plants for butterflies, given to me by Master Gardener, Ron McWilliams of Cameron, TX.
